Naina works part-time as an assignment manager and finds this balance has strengthened her consulting skills.
Looking to get back into the work environment, I began working with Haselfrë in Year 2006. After feeling more settled with my personal life and raining two children, I felt the need to get back into the work mode. I work from my home and go to the office when needed. This is a great arrangement because I can work a few days a week, when my children are at school and enjoy the benefits of re-connecting with my professional world.
I worked four days a week, usually taking Fridays off, but remained flexible about this arrangement.
My teams have told me that they appreciate this organization and the fact that they’ve avoided time crunches and rework when on my studies. And I think that having confidence about your performance and having good relationships with your teammates is important to make it easier to maintain the boundaries of a part-time program.
